Our Mission at Eastern Maine Down Syndrome Support is to provide resources and to create community support for individuals with Down Syndrome and their families from diagnosis, across the lifespan.
We are 6 moms who got together for a playdate in the park. We had a wonderful time sharing stories, but we walked away thinking about what we could do to help support the community. When we welcomed our babies to the world, we often heard all about what they would never do or how difficult our paths would be. What we didn't hear about was how much joy and love our lives would be filled with!
